Discovery
Before research starts, we sit down and write the brief together. Product, certifications, volume, MOQ, packaging, target price, lead time, hard deal-breakers, and any checks we need to run before a supplier can pass.
Our process was created to target every key point necessary for a successful import. This lays as the foundation for all projects, which we build upon with project specific requirements and preferences.
We map the market for the product and find three to five suppliers that fit your requirements. Two to four weeks, end to end.
Before research starts, we sit down and write the brief together. Product, certifications, volume, MOQ, packaging, target price, lead time, hard deal-breakers, and any checks we need to run before a supplier can pass.
We use customs and shipping records to see who is actually exporting your product to Europe right now. Names you find on directories tell you who claims to be a supplier. Customs records tell you who really ships.
From the working list we narrow down to three to five suppliers worth checking properly. We send you their basic certificates, pricing, MOQ, lead time, and a short page on each one. You decide which to take into Phase 2, if any.
We sit down and walk through the candidates together. You decide which suppliers go forward. We agree on which lab tests are needed for the product, whether to bring an independent inspection partner, how many physical samples to ship, and any extras. Phase 2 is then quoted in writing and locked before we proceed.
If none of the candidates are good enough, you can stop here. You only pay for Phase 1.
Each supplier you pick goes through the full check. Each step has a clear pass or fail.
We pull company registration documents from the national registrar, recent financial statements where they're available, credit information, and operating permits. We make sure that the company is real, properly licensed to export your product, and not about to fall over financially.
We visit the factory in person. We look at the production line, the sanitation, the storage, the equipment, and the records they keep. We compare what we see against what they showed in the pitch. We also check whether the capacity they claim is realistic.
We can also arrange an independent inspection partner for further verification.
Two things at once.
First, every certificate the supplier showed us gets verified directly with the body that issued it. Organic, KRAV, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS, Fairtrade etc. We also check basic labour risks, including working conditions and any sign of child labour.
Second, samples go to an EU-accredited lab for the tests your product needs: pesticides, heavy metals, mycotoxins, microbial, and any commodity-specific tests required by EU import rules.
We handle everything to ship physical samples to your office. You get to see, smell, and taste the product yourself before committing to a container.
Everything pulled together: the legal file, the factory visit notes and photos, the lab results, the verified certificates, the verified commercial profile (real capacity, real lead time, real freight readiness for your order shape), and our written recommendation.
The recommendation is signed and clear: go ahead, go ahead with these conditions, or don't go ahead. We end the job with a call to walk you through the report.
We charge one fee per phase, paid before that phase starts. Phase 1 price is quoted in writing with the project summary 1-2 days after the discovery. We also give an estimate for Phase 2 next to it so you can see the full size of the commitment. Phase 2 is locked in writing once we know exactly which suppliers go forward and what testing they need.
We don't take a commission from the supplier, a percentage of the trade, or a markup on lab costs. Lab invoices pass through at exactly what the lab charges us, and you see the invoice.
Tell us the product, the origin, and the decision in front of you. We'll come back within two business days.
